RenWeb & FACTS Online
RENWEB
Your previously created “RenWeb” account is our completely integrated, web-based, school management software program that combines the needs of administration, staff, teachers, parents and students. Your personal “ParentsWeb” account is the “hub” for communication from the classroom to the home within the RenWeb system.
FACTS Online
FACTS provides flexible payment plan options for Strong Rock Christian School families. Through FACTS, families can budget their tuition, making a Strong Rock education more accessible and affordable. The process is simple, convenient, and secure. Every Strong Rock Christian School family is required to create and maintain a FACTS tuition account for processing payments.
After-School Enrichment Program (ASEP)
The purpose of the program is to serve the school and the community population by providing quality educational, vocational, recreational and social programs for all age groups. The safety and security of children during the after school hours is a primary purpose of the program. The After School Enrichment Program (ASEP) strives to enrich the lives of all children who participate in the program.
After School tuition fees fund the cost for operation of the school facilities during the extended hours. The After School Enrichment Program is offered to all students enrolled at SRCS. The program stimulates students’ social, physical, and intellectual abilities through participation with their school peers.

High School Summer Reading
English Department Summer Reading
Our Philosophy
Strong Rock Christian School’s English Department believes that reading is a valuable and necessary pursuit. In a culture inundated by social media, reading becomes an even more important part of the well-rounded student’s foundation as a learner, both now and in the future.
As the summer break has become shorter, we recognize the need for balance in the lives of our school families. As a result, Strong Rock students taking College Preparatory English and Honors English will not have a required summer reading assignment. While reading is undoubtedly important for academic development, finding a balance between academic responsibilities and personal time is crucial for student well-being and overall success. AP and Dual Enrollment students will complete one required text over the summer.
The position of Strong Rock Christian School is well understood to be in strict adherence to the doctrines and principles taught in the Holy Scriptures, and the English Department endeavors to present and study all literature from a Biblical perspective. However, we do not endorse all the contents of every novel in our rich and varied collection of classic and modern literature. In order to meet certain academic standards and challenge students to improve their comprehension, vocabulary, and critical analysis skills, we must continue to offer material of varied genres, periods, and content, and will endeavor to do the same with the books our students choose to read within our classrooms.
As a college-preparatory school, Strong Rock will continue to pursue Biblical Truth and academic excellence in preparing students for college and beyond, and our new reading initiative will help us meet our goals.
New Reading Initiative
The English department will begin a new reading program in the fall of 2024. Students in grades 6-12 will participate in an independent reading initiative within their respective English classrooms. With the ability to choose books that interest them, students will begin an independent reading program with built-in accountability, reading time in class, and mentor support. Families will be receiving more information about this new program as school begins in August.
Colleges and universities expect students to have read widely in the classics of literature. Over the last decade, however, as middle and high school reading declines, college professors have recognized students’ inability to comprehend and analyze complex texts. It is our hope that the new reading initiative will re-kindle our students’ desire to read, improve their reading skills, and encourage them to tackle more advanced texts in the future.
Description of Course Levels:
College Preparatory & Honors
The College Preparatory (CP) level class prepares students to meet the goals and expectations of the Strong Rock English curriculum. The Honors (H) level class focuses more on critical thinking/reading skills and covers material in greater depth than the CP level class. Though these students are not required to complete a reading assignment over the summer, we will always encourage our students to read. With this in mind, we offer a suggested reading list at each grade level for those students who wish to continue reading over the summer. Students who do so may notify their English teacher in the fall to receive an approved bonus.
Advanced Placement & Dual Enrollment
The Advanced Placement (AP) level course is a college-level course approved by the College Board that trains students to read complex texts with greater understanding and to develop richness, clarity, and complexity in their own writing. The Dual Enrollment/College course partners SRCS curriculum with the curriculum of Point University and adheres to attendance policies of Point University. Over the summer, AP and Dual-Enrollment students should read the appropriate text assigned at each level. Any new AP or DER students enrolled before July 1 will receive the appropriate summer assignment from the admissions office and will be expected to complete the assignments on time. AP and DER students enrolled after July 1 should begin the appropriate summer assignment immediately and consult with their English teacher by email to establish appropriate deadlines. AP and DER students are expected to have their completed work the first day of class.

The Strong Rock Christian School English Department does not necessarily endorse all the contents of every novel in its rich and varied collection of classic and modern literature. In order to meet certain academic standards and challenge students to improve their comprehension, vocabulary, and critical analysis skills, we must continue to offer material of varied genres, periods, and content. The position of Strong Rock Christian School is well understood to be in strict adherence to the doctrines and principles taught in the Holy Scriptures, and the English Department endeavors to present and study all literature from a Biblical perspective.
In the modern world, many titles labeled “teen” and “young adult” are filled with content that is far from innocent or appropriate for our school setting. The English Department is committed to examining books before placing them on our classroom bookshelves. As we begin developing reading depth, stamina, and passion in our students, we ask you to partner with us in making sure content is suitable for your student, your family, and our school’s culture. If you have questions about any novel content, please contact your child’s English teacher immediately to discuss your concerns.
