5th Grade Leader of the Week

Our Leader of the Week is a diligent worker as well as being quick to help others.  Her efforts remind us of Colossians 3:23, “Whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord, and not for men…”. She asks questions that reflect she is striving to be the best learner she can be. She sees something that needs taken care of, and she does it without needing a reward or recognition.  The Leader of the Week is Loren Middleton!

Strong Rock Christian School Named National Beta School of Merit

Strong Rock Christian School has been named a 2025–2026 National Beta School of Merit, recognizing the school’s commitment to academic excellence, leadership and service.

The National Beta School of Merit award honors schools whose Beta clubs demonstrate a strong commitment to academic achievement. To receive the distinction, a school must include Beta Club members representing all eligible grade levels.

In a congratulatory letter to the school, Bobby Hart, CEO said “Thank you for your continued support of National Beta and commitment to developing future leaders!”

“Academics—a Strong Rock pillar—is a core foundation that Beta Club celebrates and builds upon throughout students’ entire high school career, starting as early as ninth grade,” said Dara Caldwell, Strong Rock’s Beta Club faculty sponsor.

But Caldwell said the club’s goals extend past academic recognition.

“Beyond the cords at graduation or achievements listed on college applications, our Beta Club hopes to offer opportunities to recognize and maintain academic success, build leadership skills, and serve both the Strong Rock and surrounding local community,” she said.

National Beta is an independent, nonprofit educational youth organization with more than 500,000 active members and 14,000 clubs across the United States and internationally.

The organization recognizes academic achievement while also promoting character, social responsibility, community service and leadership development.

Strong Rock’s School of Merit designation highlights the efforts of its Beta Club members and sponsors to uphold those values while encouraging students to pursue academic success and become leaders within their school and community.
