5th Grade Leader of the Week

Our final Leader of the Week brings Jesus’s words in John 15:5 to mind, “I am the vine; you are the branches. Whoever abides in me and I in him, he it is that bears much fruit.” This was her first year at Strong Rock, and we are so glad she joined us! She has worked hard to meet academic expectations, and her growth is evident! She has a quick wit, is joyful, and loyal friend to many. Our Leader of the Week is Kam Isaac!

Strong Rock Christian School Honors 2026 Teachers and Support Staff of the Year

Strong Rock Christian School proudly celebrated several outstanding staff members for their exceptional work during the 2025-26 school year by naming them Teachers of the Year and Support Person of the Year.

At the elementary level, Mrs. Mandy Colwell was named Elementary Teacher of the Year. She is a dedicated and enthusiastic classroom teacher who impacts students academically, emotionally, socially, and spiritually. Her instruction connects subject areas while integrating Biblical concepts, and she is known for strong planning and engaging lessons. In addition to teaching, she leads the science club, where students recently started a greenhouse and grew herbs to sell.

"She puts her heart and soul into Biblically integrating her lessons so students can clearly see the connections with what they are learning with God and His plans," said Judy Johnston, Elementary Principal.

Mr. Will Paulk was recognized as the Academy Teacher of the Year. He creates a classroom environment where students are encouraged, motivated, and actively engaged in learning. He demonstrates integrity, positivity, and genuine care for students while building strong relationships with families. He also leads a student Bible study and supports fellow teachers and staff.

"When you step into this teacher’s classroom, you immediately sense a culture of confidence, motivation, and purposeful learning," said Perian Calhoun, Academy Principal.

At the high school level, Mr. Troy Davis was named Teacher of the Year. He plans creative and engaging lessons and works to meet the needs of all students. He invests in students both inside and outside the classroom, encouraging and guiding them academically and personally while sharing Biblical truth.

"He intentionally pours into the lives of his students, sharing personal experiences alongside Biblical truth in his daily teaching," said Toby Evans, High School Principal.

Mrs. Amory Burdett was recognized as the Support Person of the Year. Known as the “glue” that holds everything together, she supports students, parents, staff, and visitors each day. She greets students in the morning, offers encouragement, and helps ensure the school runs smoothly while reflecting a Christ-like attitude.

"She is a blessing to all who know and work with her," said Judy Johnston, Elementary Principal.

These staff members reflect Strong Rock Christian School’s commitment to serving students through excellence, care, and faith.
