5th Grade Leader of the Week

Our final Leader of the Week brings Jesus’s words in John 15:5 to mind, “I am the vine; you are the branches. Whoever abides in me and I in him, he it is that bears much fruit.” This was her first year at Strong Rock, and we are so glad she joined us! She has worked hard to meet academic expectations, and her growth is evident! She has a quick wit, is joyful, and loyal friend to many. Our Leader of the Week is Kam Isaac!

Patriot Players Earn Runner-Up at GISA State One-Act Championship

Strong Rock Christian School’s Patriot Players once again shined on the state stage, earning Runner-Up in the GISA One-Act State Championship for Class AAAA PG-Rated Plays with their beautiful performance of Anastasia.

This marks the second consecutive year the Patriot Players have earned the state runner-up title.

In addition to the team’s outstanding performance, several individual cast members were recognized for their exceptional talent. Mary Jane Lockhart and Julian Castellanos  received Outstanding Performer Awards, and Raegan Fox earned an Honorable Mention for her role.

The production was led by Director Mary-Susan Moore, with a talented creative and technical team including Miranda Davis (Music Director), Erin Zihlmann (Choreographer and Costumer), Vickie Smith (Production Assistant), and Steven Davis (Technical Director). Student leaders Ellie Hoenes (Stage Manager) and Grant Hoover (Tech Manager) also played key roles in bringing the show to life.

The Patriot Players, led by Director Mary-Susan Moore, competed among the top four schools in the state after advancing from a highly competitive region that included eight schools—seven of which performed in the regional round.

Moore shared her pride in the cast and crew, saying,

“This group gave it everything they had. They worked so hard, performed with excellence, and most importantly, shined with the love of Jesus throughout the entire experience. From making friendship bracelets for other students to being the loudest cheerleaders for other schools, they represented Strong Rock beautifully both on and off the stage. We couldn’t be more proud of them.”

Congratulations to the Patriot Players on another incredible year of creativity, teamwork, and Christ-centered excellence!
