Faculty Spotlight: Amanda Boutelle

Amanda Boutelle, Strong Rock Christian School’s 2024–25 Elementary Teacher of the Year, is inspiring students from PreK3 through fifth grade with the message that everyone is an artist created in God’s image. After moving from second grade to the art room, she has poured her passion into helping children explore a variety of mediums—paint, clay, weaving, and more—while also teaching them to see mistakes as opportunities for creativity. For Boutelle, the greatest reward is seeing her students’ faces light up as they discover the joy of creating.

Faculty Spotlight: Mary-Susan Moore

From student to Teacher of the Year, Mary-Susan Moore’s journey at Strong Rock Christian School is a powerful testimony of God’s faithfulness. Once a struggling eighth-grader searching for purpose, Moore found hope in Christ during a chapel service in 2007. Today, she serves as high school drama director, teaches 7th grade Bible, oversees the drama elective, and was named the 2025 Academy Teacher of the Year. With a heart for middle school students, Moore uses drama and storytelling to point them toward Christ, reminding them—as she once needed to hear—that their gifts and creativity are by God’s design.

Students Complete SLU 201 in Washington, D.C.

SRCS students traveled to Washington, D.C., for SLU 201, a leadership experience focused on equipping young people to think, dream and lead at the feet of Jesus. Led by Dr. Jay Sanders and Mrs. Marsha Sanders, students heard from influential leaders, explored historic sites and deepened their understanding of a biblical worldview. The trip inspired them to live boldly for God’s glory in a world that often rejects Him.

Spreading Gratitude in the Community

Earlier this summer, our teacher leaders and school leadership team assembled “thank you” bags as a way to show appreciation and prayerful support to local organizations. These bags were delivered to the Locust Grove Police Department, CenterWell Home Health (Griffin Office), and Sunny Grove Assisted Living and Memory Care (Barnesville). Each visit was a meaningful opportunity to express gratitude and remind these teams that they are seen, valued, and prayed for. At Strong Rock, we are committed to living out our faith through service and encouragement within our community.

In addition to gathering important information, parents will have the chance to support the Annual Fund by purchasing a Patriot Pass for their child. The Patriot Pass will allow students to wear jeans, a Strong Rock spirit shirt, and/or tennis shoes on Fridays during the school year.
