Strong Rock Elementary School is proud to congratulate fifth-grade teacher Mandy Colwell on receiving a prestigious national award. The Stanley M. Herzog Charitable Foundation has selected Colwell as one of only twelve educators nationwide to receive its 2026 Teacher of the Year honor. Colwell was chosen from among hundreds of applicants across the country.

High Five Students

Congratulations to our High Five winners: Ryleigh Easterlin, Jasmine Holmes, Addie Kingsley, Lance Huddleston, and Colton Lomax.

5th Grade Leader of the Week

Our final Leader of the Week brings Jesus’s words in John 15:5 to mind, “I am the vine; you are the branches. Whoever abides in me and I in him, he it is that bears much fruit.” This was her first year at Strong Rock, and we are so glad she joined us! She has worked hard to meet academic expectations, and her growth is evident! She has a quick wit, is joyful, and loyal friend to many. Our Leader of the Week is Kam Isaac!

Missions at Strong Rock

The Missions pillar promotes ministry to Strong Rock faculty, staff, students and parents as well as to local, state, national, and international populations. Impacting the world for Jesus Christ begins locally with service in our community and expands to state, national, and international mission trips. Students develop Christ-like servant leadership and character as they live out the school’s motto, “Blessed to be a blessing.”

Students will have opportunities to spend time traveling or working with a mentor, in order to create the opportunity to hear God’s calling to serve in the field of missions, or to hear God’s calling to make the marketplace their mission field. In addition, Strong Rock leads weekly chapel services to foster a personal relationship with Jesus Christ so that the Word of God can be taught and practically applied to daily living.
