Judy Johnston News

After 19 years of faithful leadership, Strong Rock Christian School announces the retirement of longtime Elementary Principal and Chief Academic Officer Judy Johnston at the conclusion of the 2025-26 school year. For nearly two decades, she has helped shape the academic excellence and Christ-centered culture of Strong Rock, shepherding students, families and faculty with wisdom, compassion and unwavering dedication.

“Working to fulfill the mission of our school and watching it take root in the hearts and lives of our students has truly been the highlight of my time here,” Johnston said. “Some of my most treasured moments have been the quiet conversations with students and the privilege of hearing their prayers each morning.”

She is looking forward to spending more time with her family, especially her grandchildren, in retirement.

We are deeply grateful for her years of service and the lasting impact she has made on generations of Strong Rock families. We invite you to read the full announcement as we celebrate her legacy and this next chapter.

SRCS CHOA Sports Medicine

Strong Rock's Sports Medicine Program

The Strong Rock sports medicine program provides quality sports preventative and injury care to the students of Strong Rock Christian School. Jimmy Bradberry is the Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta Athletic Trainer here at Strong Rock. He works closely with the team doctor to provide immediate and sustained care for students while also striving to establish trusting relationships with the athletes, coaching staff, parents, and the medical community.

Dr. Ashley Brouillette of Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta acts as team physician for all sports at Strong Rock Christian School.

Strong Rock’s athletic training facilities include an ultrasound and stim machine, a Game Ready (hot and cold therapy), treatment tables, a taping table, spine boards, and defibrillators. The department also has an emergency cart available on-site if needed.

Strong Rock’s full-time athletic trainer provides evaluations to determine a safe participation status, preventative bracing and taping, and rehabilitative/reconditioning therapy to any athlete with an injury. Athletes who cannot participate in practice or contests are monitored while completing their rehabilitation program. The Athletic Trainer works with the athlete's treating physician to carry out any rehabilitative therapy prescribed and is prepared to deal with those injuries that occur throughout each practice or contest.

Our Student Athletic Training Program

The Student Athletic Training Program is comprised of student leaders who assist Strong Rock's athletic trainer and team doctor.  The students learn valuable skills throughout the year such as how to treat open wounds, taping techniques, rehabilitation protocols, emergency action steps, and injury diagnosis.  All team members are required to complete an entire season (fall, winter, or spring) in order to earn a varsity letter in athletic training.  Through the experience, several team members have found a passion for athletic training and continued studying it in college.
