Academy Wrestling Wins 2026 GIAA Middle School Championship

This weekend, 19 Academy wrestlers competed at the GIAA End-of-Year Championships. Every athlete competed with intensity and determination, and their combined efforts led to a major accomplishment—winning the 2026 GIAA Middle School Wrestling Championship.

Engage Club Shines at the 81st Youth Assembly
Engage Club Shines at the 81st Youth Assembly

This year, 14 Engage Club members, attended the 81st Youth Assembly, a mock youth government program where students write, debate, and vote on bills.
Francesca Mino was honored with an appointment as a Senate committee chair, and both Francesca and Ruby Valdivia were recognized as senior statesmen, having participated in Youth Assembly all four years. Julian Castellanos had the special honor of singing the National Anthem at the awards luncheon.

SAT/ACT Prep Course for High School Students
SAT/ACT Prep Course for High School Students

Strong Rock is offering a four-week SAT/ACT prep course for students in grades 9–12. Taught by Mrs. Caldwell and Mrs. Sanders, the course will review key reading, language, and math concepts while teaching proven test-taking strategies.

Sessions will be held on Saturdays from 9:00–11:00 a.m. (Jan. 10, Jan. 24, Feb. 7, Feb. 28). Space is limited to the first 40 students who register. For details or to sign up, students should see Mrs. Caldwell (Room 1318).
