Strong Rock Christian School Participates in the Georgia GOAL Scholarship Program

DONOR INFORMATION

It is a rare and wonderful thing to be able to help a child secure a great education at Strong Rock Christian School.  It is even more rare for a person to be able to do so by re-directing a portion of their Georgia income taxes toward the provision of scholarships for deserving families.  Yet, in essence, by making a contribution to the Georgia GOAL Scholarship Program on behalf of Strong Rock Christian School, you can do just that.  In exchange for your contribution, you will receive a Georgia income tax credit.  Plus, if you itemize your deductions on your federal income tax return, your contribution to GOAL will be deductible as a charitable contribution for federal income tax purposes.

A single individual contributing to the Georgia GOAL Scholarship Program, Inc. is eligible to receive a credit against his or her Georgia income tax liability in an amount up to $1,000.  For an individual taxpayer filing a married filing separate return, the maximum credit increases to $1,250 per year.  A married couple contributing to Goal is eligible to receive a credit against their Georgia income tax liability in an amount up to $2,500.

C-Corporations can also contribute to the Georgia GOAL Scholarship Program and receive a credit against their Georgia income tax liability in an amount not to exceed 75 percent of the corporation’s income tax liability.

HOW TO CONTRIBUTE FOR A TAX CREDIT

Step 1:  Contribute to GOAL

Send the following items directly to Georgia GOAL Scholarship Program:

  • A completed GOAL Contribution Form
  • A copy of page 2 of Form IT-QEE-TP1 pre-approval form, signed by you at Part C (GOAL will complete the form for you and submit it to the Georgia Department of Revenue)
  • A check made payable to “Georgia GOAL Scholarship Program, Inc.” or credit card payment in the amount of your contribution (your payment will be deposited only when GOAL receives your Approval Letter from the DOR)
  • Send the above to Goal at:

Goal Scholarship Program
Five Concourse Parkway
Suite 200
Atlanta, GA 30328

Step 2: Claim your Tax Credit

File your Georgia income tax return and take the credit.

  • GOAL will send you Form IT-QEE-SS01 contribution acknowledgment form
  • A copy of Form IT-QEE-SS01 will need to be filed with your tax return along with a short Form IT-QEE-TP2, which will be available at tax time
  • GOAL will send taxpayer filing guidance early next year and/or will post taxpayer filing guidance on its website.
