The Strong Rock Christian School Instrumental Music Department provides students the opportunity to develop and express their God-given gifts and talents. We believe that students should enhance their individual potential to understand music as an art form, promote the use of music as a form of self-expression, value music as an aesthetic experience, and use music as an inspiring form of worship.
The current course offerings at Strong Rock include: 4th grade Song Flute class, 5th and 6th grade Beginning Band, Intermediate Band for those in 5th through 7th grade who have had one year of training and Advanced Band for those in 7th through 11th grade who have had two or more years of training.
The future for the Strong Rock band program includes more staff members and performing ensembles. Additional ensembles will include the Academy Concert Band and Symphonic Band for 6th through 8th grades, and High School Concert Band, Symphonic Band, and Wind Ensemble for 9th through 12th grades. Also as the program grows, the Patriot Marching Band will be established along with jazz band and percussion ensemble. Strong Rock band members regularly participate in Georgia Music Educators Association events. These include District Honor Band, All-State Band, Large Group Performance Evaluation, and Solo and Ensemble Performance Evaluation.
The instrumental music program provides instruction which focuses on a sequential program of skills development while encouraging academic excellence and Christ-like character. Please contact us if you have any questions concerning the band program. We invite you to tour the facilities and see God’s blessings at Strong Rock Christian School.
