I would like to welcome you to Strong Rock Christian School. I am excited to have you on our website during the 2011-2012 school year. As we enter our fifth year of school, Strong Rock has experienced immense growth and development within our Athletic Department. The mission of this department is to minister to student-athletes, coaches and families through the avenue of athletics. We want athletics to be a tool that is used to advance the Kingdom of Jesus Christ – the Strong Rock.
Strong Rock Christian School is continuously developing a reputation for integrity and spiritual growth. While championships come and go, we feel that the most important quality of any interscholastic activity is for it to be used to glorify Jesus Christ. We do not view academic achievement, athletic success and spiritual growth as three separate entities for a student-athlete. All three of these components are weaved together as integral parts of a student-athlete’s development through their adolescent years. We are blessed by God to be a part of this process.
Strong Rock Christian School is entering its second year as a member of the Georgia High School Association. We are members of both Region 5-A and Region 9-A. The excitement has grown within the Strong Rock community within the past year as we’ve been able to add athletic activities within the department. These activities include Boys Soccer, which will compete in the Georgia High School Association, and a co-ed Equestrian team, which will compete in the Interscholastic Equestrian Association. Our growth has allowed for more student-athletes to be involved in our athletic department, thus allowing more families to be involved with the mission.
