As director of building and grounds, I would like to welcome you to the Strong Rock Christian School facilities web page. Strong Rock is located on 168 acres off of I-75 in Locust Grove, Georgia, which is about 30 miles south of Atlanta.
We broke ground in March, 2006 and opened the doors to the elementary school building on August 6, 2007. This building is currently being used for PK thru 12th grades, and consists of 58 classrooms, a technology center, band rooms, art room, piano classroom, science lab, chapel, cafeteria, puppet theatre and gym. The business office was completed in September, 2007 and houses our administrative offices and our building and grounds maintenance department. The baseball/softball complex was completed in February, 2008. It consists of a field house with a baseball locker room, softball locker room, coach’s offices, meeting room, concession stand, and bathrooms. The complex has a varsity baseball field, varsity softball field, JV baseball field and JV softball field. All of the fields are under lights and overlook the beautiful Henry County Reservoir. The football field house building was completed in July, 2008 and consists of administrative offices, coach’s offices, and our state-of-the-art weight room facility. The football stadium was completed in September, 2008 just in time for our 2008 football season. It has a synthetic grass field with a 400-meter rubberized running track. The stands seat approximately 4,500 fans. It also consists of four locker rooms, training room, laundry room and two concession stands. In addition to the stadium field, we also have a middle school softball field, three football practice fields, and a soccer field.
Our facilities staff takes care of building maintenance, housekeeping, grounds maintenance, security, the school store and anything having to do with the upkeep of the physical operation of the school.
God has richly blessed us here at Strong Rock Christian School. Our goal is to provide an effective, efficient, attractive, and safe learning environment for our students and staff. Although we take great pride in our facilities, we recognize that nothing would be possible without God’s provision. We are careful to give Him the glory for all He has blessed us with here at Strong Rock.
